A MESSAGE FROM DAVID…

BROKEN MEN AND WOMEN
When I first arrived in the San Jose area back in 2001, I quickly noticed the broken ways in which men and women were interacting with one another. I started work on The Healing Path curriculum soon after that and we began our first group the following year. The response was very positive. I had an unheard of number of guys in my small group. All of them were in different states of readiness to be transparent with one another.

OUR VISION STATEMENT
For fifteen years we didn’t charge a dime to attend the class. My church was paying my salary so no need to charge those that were seeking greater healing. In 2017, I left staff and began working full time for our nonprofit The Healing Path Ministries. I remember one participant sharing with me, ”You know the first time I went through I didn’t have to pay to attend the class. Why are you charging now?”

Before I answer the question, I want to share our vision statement: “Our hope is to lead Christians in the Silicon Valley (and beyond), who struggle with some broken aspect of their relational and emotional identity, on a journey of healing through a deeper relationship with God in order to achieve greater wholeness toward a more fulfilling life. To bring God’s healing touch into those areas of our lives where we have been wounded through the sin of others or through our own sinful patterns. We believe that bringing these wounds to the feet of Jesus, we will find cleansing from the effects of sin and a path to a greater life experience”

CHANGING LIVES THROUGH GIVING
It is one thing to desire God’s work to be done and even to pray fervently to that end, but quite another thing to contribute financially to ensure that vision becomes a reality. Your giving to the work of the Lord will make a difference in many lives. Let that sink in. Change in the lives of those that seek healing of past wounds will change the way they love their children and hopefully be handed down through the generations. This is part of the reason why I started The Healing Path Ministries. This is why we need your support.

GIVING FOR THOSE HURTING AND IN NEED OF ANSWERS
I must confess that leaving the security of a job that provided me a stable income and benefits for 15 years, left me a little fearful to go out on my own. Yet God pursued me in the midst of my fears especially about money. But following what God had called me to do, knowing full well the cost of health care and rent in Silicon Valley, I took that step of faith. God has allowed us to go beyond the walls of The River Church with the ministry of healing to the broken not just in the Bay Area but throughout the western states of our country. I need funding to see our vision lived out. I need funding to advance this ministry that my team and I believe will continue to bring freedom and transformation for many. And most of all I need funding to advance the Kingdom of God into the many lives that are hurting and cannot find answers in their own churches.
